Are you looking for a rewarding career where you can make a difference in the lives of students? Milford Area Public Schools is seeking dedicated and reliable School Bus Drivers to join our team and ensure the safe and timely transportation of our students.

Position Overview:

  • Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time
  • Location: Milford Area Public Schools
  • Reports To: Transportation Supervisor
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, AM and PM shifts available, with potential for field trips and extracurricular events
  • Salary: Competitive pay, with benefits for eligible employees

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport students to and from school, and on extracurricular trips, following an established route and schedule
  • Ensure the safety of students while loading and unloading the bus, and during transportation
  • Maintain order on the bus, adhering to district policies
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure proper working condition
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must be age 21 or older
  • Be able to pass a favorable physical examination including testing for tuberculosis and chemical testing for drugs and alcohol. 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a “Class B” CDL license with a Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) Endorsement and a school bus driver permit
  • Ability to pass background checks as required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to student safety and well-being
